Under The Rain: Episode 7

 Under the Rain

A LOVE STORY

Death is the destiny waiting for every human soul, and no one can tell you for sure when and where your soul is going to abandon your body and leave this world forever, but only someone can at least tell you that your day had not come yet, and this someone is the one who loved you the most ....

Episode 7

“I know a place, big enough for you to be its queen, small enough that won’t fit anyone but you”
Sarah would never forget these words, that moment, when the rain was pouring heavily, when no one was around but she, and the love of her life. She would never forget looking down at his face as he got down on one knee, and romantically proposed to her. She hear these words, she sees that situation, day and night, night and day, every where she went, why wouldn’t she, it had been the moment of her life.
Alone, as she used to be since she heard of that horrible accident, she was staying in her room, locking herself in, or maybe, locking the others out, watching the news channel, which was showing a full coverage and breaking news about the crashed plane, with a noticeable smile on her face.
Despite what she was hearing with her very ears, she was quite sure that that wasn’t the complete truth, she was never believing in the fact that her husband is dead, good for her, that is the main reason why she still alive then.
“Can I come in?”
Sarah heard the excuse coming from behind the door, she knew who it was, and she was really dying to talk to someone, but wasn’t just someone.
“Come in, mum” confirmed Sarah and immediately shut down the TV set.
Mrs. Stewarts, who lost her consciousness after an intense fight with her ex-husband four days earlier, looked confused, when she was witnessing her daughter in law move around her room, with her face softening a noticeable smile. Even though she really wanted to know the reason behind that inappropriate cheer, she didn’t ask her; she thought it might be impolite to ask someone such a question. But on second thought, she went for it.
“You look fine,” asked Mrs. Stewarts, “good for you!”  She could never go further, she just threw her words and waited, maybe her little daughter in law will read between its letters.
“No I am not.”
Mrs. Stewarts was confused, not because of Sarah’s reply – it had actually the opposite effect of confusion – but because she had got two opposite feelings; she was not relieved seeing her not feeling well, still crying and suffering. In the same time, and surprisingly, she found, deep inside herself, a happy feeling that she still sad about losing the only son of the old woman, that Sarah is still remembering her son, that she still in love with him, even after he had gone.
“I miss him,” said Sarah with a begging eyes full of tears,
That was not the first time for Josh to be missed; his so called strong mother used to secretly cry her eyes out every night, when looking at his small sized old picture kept in her wallet.
“Be strong,” replied the woman, “sweetheart”
Sarah did not see Mrs. Stewarts secret crying, but she kind of knew of it. Her mother spread her arms wide, pasted a painful broken smile on her old face, and wordlessly offered to hug her daughter, who didn’t take more than two seconds to accept her offer.
Although their faces were not visible to one another, it was clear for Mrs. Stewarts that Sarah started to cry heavily.
“Calm down, Sweetheart” Sarah loved to be called sweetheart, but a little more from Josh than Mrs. Stewarts.
“He is late.” Said Sarah, continuing her loud crying.
Late? The woman was wondering what she meant by that word; is she waiting for him to come back from his death? Is that why she was smiling a bit earlier? She let it go, but she shouldn’t have.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 ***
What a dramatic word, Late. Josh was always late, it took him 2 years to discover that Sarah’s is insanely in love with him, another 2 years to act on it, and 4 more years to get her engaged. And again here he was, left, and in Sarah’s point of view, late.

Long ago, but in Sarah's point of view, not so long ago, there was some girl named Tiffany, She was tall, brown haired, clean white skinned, and very attractive, she was like a dream to all the guys in the High school. She was attracted to Josh, but he was not attracted to her, neither was he attracted to his future wife, Sarah, who was not thinking of anything but him.

on a class trip, they were all together; Josh, Sarah, and Tiffany. That was not it,indeed, there were many of their friends in that wide, flower collored field, including a skinny lonley girl, who wasn't involved with anyone, she Seemed to be wondering what in god's name was she doing there, in a class trip, with no friends of her own, how sad is she.

Sarah was Iosting after Josh, watching himtalking to his friends, pushing them, Joking with them, it was really obvious for a group of their friends that Sarah was completely obssesed with Josh, but she was right, who would see Josh and don't like him? his carisma, his strong' tall, leaned body, his glamouras smile that works like a sharm on everybody he ever talked to. Yes, Sarah Was not attracted to Josh out of pity, Josh was one of the most popular men in his high school.

Among many girls who were attracted to Josh, there was one more girl, Tiffany, that gorgons, confident, outgoing girl. off course, she did not used to get rejected by any guy before, ever in her life. And given how Confident and self-proud she was, she had no problem deciding to go for it, and ask him out.

"where does he go?" asked Sarah.

"I don't Know," replied one of her friends with a remarkable look, "why? is he your boyfriend?"

Eventhough Sarah did not like her friend's sarcastic question, she looked at her with a 'you are right' look.

"Ok I know, but...."

"No but, Sarah," interrupted her friend, "he is not where you are."

like this phrase being Said from her friend can easily terminate her Secret love to that strong Carismatic man. she pretended to move on, but she did not.

Suddenly, Sarah became missing; no body knew where was she. But instead, her friends started to look for Josh, as they were certain that she will be where is was going to be.And they were right, Sarah was in the Same place with Josh, but there was one more person, Tiffany.

Sarah was watching Josh and Tiffany's kiss with tearful eyes, as if they are dating, and she caught him cheating on her.

she got hugged by her friend from the back, felt like broken, couldn't keep her eyes away from him, but also couldn't Continue looking

at them Kissing.

That was hopless, that was too late, she felt like she missed her chance.

On a second thought, Sarah faced her friends with the truth; that it seemed like Tiffany is the one for him.

"look at them," said Sarah to her friends, "they are so matched, he is gorgous, So if she"

off Course, she was crying while saying these words.

Not so long after that school trip, Sarah Went to the school cafeteria to get a hot drink. Sad as she was, she asked for her Usual hot chocolate, got it, turned her back, and went away.

"Hey," Sarah heard a shout from behind, "young lady." Sarah turned back again to see the one who was talking to her, it was the bartender.

"Sarah?" he asked her

"yes." She replied, and wondered.

" This is for you"

Sarah took the folded up piece of paper, looked at it, then at the bartender strangly, Perhaps she wanted to ask him 'what is this' but he handed it to her, and never waited, Just went to Continue his normal work, he did not seem to Care that much. clearly the bartender was Just a messenger.

Sarah's Curiosty Prevent her from staying any longer without Knowing what is in this little note, she went to d side of the school, just near the football field, leaned her back against the wall, and started to read.

' Meet me in your favorite place after school'

That was it, only a strange line from an anonymus person. Sarah thought that her wondering will akgo away after reading this note, but clearly she was mistaken.

'Who is that person? And how He or she Know where my favorite place is?' Sarah might thought. But did she have any other choice but to go for that and, again follow her Curiosty? No she had no choice.
